The "Identity Tab," made by South Korean network device producer Enspert Inc. and to be unveiled on Sept. 10, allows Web surfing and content download via wireless-fidelity (WiFi) networks but does not support access to the 3G cellular networks, KT said in a statement.

The 7-inch touchscreen device is powered by a 1-gigahertz processor and offers 8-gigabyte on-board memory storage, said the company, also the No. 2 mobile carrier in the country. The 412-gram weight gadget allows access to Google Inc.'s Android marketplace and KT's own electronics book store.
