SEOUL, Jan. 6 (Yonhap) -- Samsung Electronics Co., the world's second-largest maker of mobile phones, said Thursday that it will introduce one of the slimmest smartphones available on the market with a U.S. mobile carrier this year.
The Samsung Infuse 4G is just 8.99 millimeters thick, about 1mm thinner than the Galaxy S, Samsung's flagship smartphone released last year. The new phone's display is 4.5 inches, larger than that of the Galaxy S, the company said in a release.
The Android-running new smartphones will be released through AT&T Inc., the second largest wireless operator in the United States.
