Foreign ownership of S. Korean stocks hits six-year high amid buying rally

SEOUL, Oct. 22 (Yonhap) -- Foreign ownership of South Korean shares reached a six-year high amid investors' record-long buying rally on local bourses, data showed Tuesday, casting a brighter outlook for the local stock market.

Overseas investors held 33.15 percent of stocks traded on the main bourse and the secondary market on Monday estimated at 439.5 trillion won (US$413.6 billion), the data by the Financial Supervisory Service showed.
