Kia Motors unveils in-car entertainment system for Chinese market

SEOUL, June 13 (Yonhap) -- Kia Motors Corp., South Korea's second-largest carmaker, said Wednesday it has unveiled an in-vehicle entertainment and communications system that is designed solely for the Chinese market.

It is the first time that Kia Motors has introduced a China-specific in-car infotainment system. It was jointly developed by the QQ Music service operator of China's Tencent, the carmaker said in a statement.

Unveiling the system at an industry fair in Shanghai, Kia said the system will be installed in a new model that will be sold in the Chinese market next year.

Kia Motors targets selling 450,000 vehicles in China this year, compared with sales of 360,006 vehicles in China last year.
