SEOUL, April 10 (Yonhap) -- South Korean weightlifter Jang Mi-ran will miss this year's regional championships in Japan as she seeks to use the time to improve her form ahead of the Beijing Olympics, officials said Thursday.
The 25-year-old world record holder in the women's 75-kilogram category also needs to take part in her country's Olympic qualifying round for a two-day run just before the Asian championships begin in Kanazawa, Japan on April 25.
