SEOUL, Jan. 13 (Yonhap) -- The South Korean baseball club LG Twins said Saturday they've acquired former major league infielder Adonis Garcia.

The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) team inked Garcia, 32, to a one-year deal worth US$800,000.

Garcia, a native of Cuba, made his major league debut with the Atlanta Braves in 2015 and went on to play 244 games for them over the next three seasons, batting .267 with 29 home runs and 110 RBIs.

The Twins said Garcia will play third base, and his power and glove will be huge assets to the club.

The Twins have now filled up their foreign player quota. They earlier re-signed right-hander Henry Sosa and newly acquired Tyler Wilson.

KBO teams are each permitted three foreign players, with a maximum two pitchers.
