SEOUL, Nov. 30 (Yonhap) -- Lotte Entertainment has released online the first set of 11 still cuts for the forthcoming local fantasy film "Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds."
The film depicts a dead man who is judged in seven hells for 49 days, guided by three grim reapers. Directed by Kim Yong-hwa of "200 Pound Beauty," "Mr. Go" and "Take Off," it is the first installment of a two-part series based on a sensational webtoon of the same title by Joo Ho-min.
The two parts were shot simultaneously by the same director for the first time in Korean film history with the total production cost of 40 billion won (US$35 million).
Ha Jung-woo, Ju Ji-hoon and Kim Hyang-gi played the roles of three grim reapers while Cha Tae-hyun's character is Ja-hong, the righteous dead.
In addition, Kim Dong-wook, Doh Kyung-soo, Ma Dong-seok, Oh Dal-soo Im Won-hee and Lee Jung-jae had cameos in the film.
"Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds" is set to premiere on Dec. 20.
