SEOUL, March 20 (Yonhap) -- Project K-pop group Wanna One wants to extend its winning streak with its second EP, titled "0+1=1 (I Promise You)," the follow-up to the band's explosive debut record, which was released last year.
"Last year, we received an immense amount of love from fans and performed well. It's all thanks to the Wannables," Kang Daniel said at a press conference for the group's new EP at Stanford Hotel in western Seoul on March 19. Wannable refers to the group's fan community.
Kang added, "Our goal this year is to present better music to our fans. I trust that more people will seek us out if we present great performances and music."
The new EP features six new songs, along with a remixed version of "I.P.U.," and is led by "Boomerang," a pulsating electronic dance beat that highlights the band's more masculine and darker aspects. "0+1=1 (I Promise You)" is poised to recreate the group's past smash hit successes, with preorders reaching over 700,000.
