Bacterial resistance to antibiotics rising in S. Korea: report
SEOUL, Sept. 6 (Yonhap) -- Bacterial resistance to antibiotics is rising in South Korea, a problem that may eventually pose serious health risk issues, a government report said Monday.

The report by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) based on data collected from across the country showed acinetobacter baumannii bacteria, also called the "super bacteria," had a sharply rising tolerance level to antibiotics in 2009.
