(LEAD) Bacterial resistance to antibiotics rising in S. Korea: report
SEOUL, Sept. 6 (Yonhap) -- Bacterial resistance to antibiotics is rising in South Korea, a problem that may eventually pose serious health risk issues, a government report said Monday.

The report by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) based on data collected from across the country showed the multi-resistant acinetobacter baumanniibacteria (MRAB), also called the "super bacteria," had a sharply rising tolerance level to antibiotics in 2009.
