Gov't to rein in Internet news portals
SEOUL, Aug. 17 (Yonhap) -- The government and the ruling party agreed to apply newspaper reporting rules and regulations to Internet news portal services, opening them up to libel complaints and arbitration rulings, party officials said Sunday.
Government and members of the Grand National Party met last week and decided to revise laws governing print and on-line newspapers, according to the officials.
