Three obstetricians accused of illegal abortion

SEOUL, Feb. 3 (Yonhap) -- A group of anti-abortion obstetricians said Wednesday that they filed a complaint with the prosecution against three obstetric clinics, accusing them of performing illegal abortions and urging the government to take drastic action to clamp down on such practices.
"We decided to lodge the complaint against the abortion clinics to protest against the government, which neglects its duties to enforce laws prohibiting illegal abortions," Shim Sang-duk, a practicing obstetrician with the "Pro-Life Doctors" group, said.
