HONG KONG, Feb. 2 (Yonhap) -- China on Wednesday welcomed South and North Korea's agreement to hold working-level military talks next week, saying peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula have been a serious concern for the country.
"China has always been advocating and actively urging the parties (on the Korean Peninsula) to resolve their differences and conflict through dialogue and consultation, and seek reconciliation and cooperation," Hong Lei, spokesman for China's foreign ministry, said in a statement posted on the government's official Web site.
