Strong earthquake strikes South Korea

SEOUL, Nov. 15 (Yonhap) -- A series of powerful earthquakes struck the southeastern city of Pohang on Wednesday, and the tremors were felt as far as Seoul hundreds of kilometers away.

The first 5.5-magnitude quake happened around 2:29 p.m. north of Pohang and the second 5.4 quake came later, the Korea Meteorological Administration said.
