Lee vows to renew relations with Japan: aide
SEOUL, Feb. 11 (Yonhap) -- President-elect Lee Myung-bak Monday promised to seek a renewed relationship with Japan which is less dependent on the bitter memories from Japan's brutal colonization of Korea, an aide to Lee said.
Lee made the remarks while meeting with 10 former and incumbent Japanese lawmakers including Koichi Kato, a former member of Japan's House of Representatives and ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), in his office.
