INJE, South Korea, Feb. 6 (Yonhap) -- The Inje Icefish Festival in Inje, east of Seoul, was successfully concluded on Sunday after drawing a record number of visitors over the past nine days to a frozen lake in the small town nestled in one of South Korea's most scenic mountains, organizers said Monday.
About 170,000 people took part in the annual Inje Icefish Festival during the first two days of the nine-day event that started Jan. 28 and roughly 30,000 to 40,000 tourists visited the festival every day, according to the event's organizer, Inje County.
