SEOUL, Feb. 26 (Yonhap) -- The eco-friendly structure of "the vertical garden" that stretches seven stories high in the newly-built Seoul City Hall has set a Guinness World Record as the longest such garden in the world, the city said Tuesday.

As part of the municipal government's effort to transform the building into a more environmentally-friendly space, the city turned one of its inside walls from the first to the seventh floor into a garden, measuring 1,516 square meters. They also set up some 70,000 units of plants for about eight months last year.
