SEOUL, July 2 (Yonhap) -- North Korea fired two short-range projectiles from its east coast on Wednesday, the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said, the latest in a series of rocket launches.

The rockets, presumed to be 300-millimeter multiple-rocket launcher KN-09 shells, were fired from a site near its eastern city of Wonsan at around 6:50 a.m. and 8 a.m. into the northeastern direction, according to the JCS.

They flew some 180 kilometers and landed in international waters, it added.
