INCHEON, Nov. 9 (Yonhap) -- An American ace will look to take his club a step closer to a title in the South Korean baseball championship series on Saturday.

The Doosan Bears will send right-hander Seth Frankoff to the mound for Game 5 of the Korean Series against the SK Wyverns. The game will start at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Wyverns' home, SK Happy Dream Park in Incheon, just west of Seoul.

The Bears defeated the Wyverns 2-1 on Friday to even the best-of-seven series at two games apiece.

Frankoff had been in line to start Game 6 on Sunday, but after Game 4 was pushed back to Friday following a rainout, Frankoff will now pitch in Game 5 with a chance to put his team ahead in the series.

Frankoff, who led the regular season with 18 wins, was dominant in his Game 2 start, striking out 10 in 6 2/3 innings while allowing just one earned run.

He will need to do more of the same Saturday to give the Bears a series lead before returning to Jamsil Stadium in Seoul with a chance to capture the title.

The Wyverns will counter with submarine pitcher Park Jong-hoon.

Park pitched the opening game of the series on Sunday, but got a no-decision in the Wyverns' 7-3 victory after giving up two earned runs on three hits and five walks in 4 1/3 innings.
