SEOUL (Yonhap) -- The following is a chronological review of major developments related to North Korea from June 19-25, 2008.
19 The (North) Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) says meetings of workers and members of the General Federation of Trade Unions of (North) Korea, youth and students and members of the (North) Korean Democratic Women's Union were held in Pyongyang, and a meeting of agricultural workers was held in Thaechon County, North Pyongan Province to celebrate the 44th anniversary of leader Kim Jong-il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of (North) Korea (WPK).
19 Xi Jinping, vice president of China, leaves Pyongyang by air after winding up his official goodwill visit to the DPRK (North Korea).
19 Choe Thae-bok, chairman of the Supreme People's Assembly (SPA), meets with John Everard, British ambassador to the DPRK, at the Mansudae Assembly Hall in Pyongyang when the latter paid a farewell call on him.
19 The DPRK delegation led by Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Kim Hyong-jun leaves Pyongyang by air to attend the seventh meeting of information ministers of non-aligned countries to be held in Venezuela.
