SEOUL (Yonhap) -- The following is a chronological review of major developments related to North Korea from Aug. 28-Sept. 3, 2008.
28 Kim Yong-nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly (SPA), receives credentials from Serbian Ambassador to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK/ North Korea) Miomir Udovicki at the Mansudae Assembly in Pyongyang.
28 A national seminar on the "immortal exploits" the late President Kim Il-sung and leader Kim Jong-il performed in founding and developing the DPRK is held at the People's Palace of Culture in Pyongyang.
28 Youth and students in various parts of the country celebrate Youth Day.
29 The North's state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) says a national farm machine exhibition and technical innovation presentation was held in Hwangju County, North Hwanghae Province, from Aug. 26 to 28.
