N. Korea renews push to exclude Japan from nuclear talks
By Shim Sun-ah SEOUL, Oct. 21 (Yonhap) -- North Korea on Tuesday renewed its years-old claim that Japan should not be allowed to take part in future six-party talks aimed at settling the dispute over the North's nuclear weapons program.
Japan recently reaffirmed its position against contributing any aid unless the communist state fully addresses concerns over Japanese citizens it kidnapped in the 1970s and 1980s to train spies. Tokyo remains discontented with Washington's removal of North Korea from a list of terrorism-supporting countries.
