S. Korea permits Buddhists to travel to N. Korea for talks: official

SEOUL, March 11 (Yonhap) -- South Korea has approved a visit by a group of Buddhists to North Korea later this week to discuss the possible organization of a mass rally of Buddhists from the divided countries in the North, an official said Thursday.

But the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, the largest Buddhist sect in South Korea, said it may postpone the visit approved for Friday because its North Korean counterpart requested so.
