(LEAD) S. Korea's Buddhist monks deliver medical aid to N. Korea

SEOUL, May 4 (Yonhap) -- A 10-member delegation of South Korea's largest Buddhist sect returned over the heavily fortified border from North Korea on Wednesday after delivering medical aid supplies to the impoverished country.

Reverend Hyekyung, the spokesperson for the delegation, said the delegation of the Jogye Order visited North Korea's Mt. Kumgang resort and safely delivered 100,000 tablets of vermifuge, a medicine used to destroy intestinal parasites.
