SEOUL (Yonhap) -- The following is a chronological review of major developments related to North Korea from Nov. 29-Dec. 5, 2012.

29 North Korea celebrates the Day of Airmen, the holiday of its air and anti-air force, which it enacted to commemorate the founding of the country's first flying corps in 1945.

   29 The building of the Wonsan Army-People Power Station, located in Kangwon Province, is completed.

   29 Kim Yong-nam, the president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly (SPA), received credentials from Burkina Faso Ambassador to the DPRK (North Korea) Idriss Raoua Ouedraogo at the Mansudae Assembly Hall in Pyongyang.

   29 A delegation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) led by Li Jianguo, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress, arrives in Pyongyang.

   29 The delegations of the Workers' Party of (North) Korea (WPK) and the CPC hold talks at the Mansudae Assembly Hall.

   30 North Korea marks the 40th anniversary of the premiere of the revolutionary opera "The Flower Girl" at the Pyongyang Grand Theatre. The opera has been staged 1,500 times.

   30 A national exhibition of liquor and condiments took place at the Pyongyang Yokjon Department Store on Nov. 27-30.

   30 Yang Hyong-sop, the vice president of the SPA, meets the delegation of various political parties of the Amur Region Legislative Assembly of Russia led by Olga Lysenko, the chief of the United Russia faction.

   30 Foreign Minister Pak Ui-chun talks with new Burkina Faso Ambassador to the DPRK Idriss Raoua Ouedraogo.

   30 A meeting is held to celebrate the 60th founding anniversary of the State Academy of Sciences.

1 Kim Yong-nam sends a message of greeting to Francois Bozize Yangoubonda, the president of Central Africa, on the occasion of the 54th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Central Africa.

   1 Kim Yong-nam sends a congratulatory message to Traian Basescu, the president of Romania, on the occasion of its national day.

   1 The (North) Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) says the Jindalle Children's Foundation was established in Pyongyang on Nov. 29 with Palestinian Jindallae Saphariny as its president.

   1 North Korean leader Kim Jong-un sends a message of greeting to Choummaly Sayasone, the general secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and president of Laos, on the Southeast Asian country's national day.

   2 A new documentary film entitled "Fatherly General was together with Workers" to idolize the North's late leader Kim Jong-il is shown at the People's Palace of Culture in Pyongyang.

   3 An event to mark World AIDS Day was held at the People's Palace of Culture in Pyongyang. The KCNA said North Korea has made big efforts for the prevention of AIDS.

   3 The 2012 joint meeting of the disabled takes place at the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace in Pyongyang to commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

   4 Chairman of the SPA Choe Thae-bok meets with new Iranian Ambassador to the DPRK Mansour Chavoshi, who paid a courtesy call on him at the Mansudae Assembly Hall.

   4 A WPK delegation led by Vice Department Director of its Central Committee Pak Kun-gwang returns home after the participation in the congress of the United Malays National Organization of Malaysia.

   4 Premier Choe Yong-rim makes a field survey of the newly built Yanggakdo Sports Village in Pyongyang.

   4 A businessmen's delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation led by Vassily Usoltsev, the chairman of the Committee for Economic Cooperation with Asian and Oceanic Countries of the Chamber, arrives in Pyongyang.

   5 A national meeting of judicial officers takes place at the People's Palace of Culture in Pyongyang to observe the 30th anniversary of the publication of late leader Kim Jong-il's work, "On Increasing Obedience to Socialist Laws," on Dec. 15, 1992.

   5 A friendly meeting of officials of the DPRK-Russian Friendship Association and friendship units and staff members of the Russian embassy in Pyongyang is held at the Russian embassy.

   5 The KCNA says that the Pyongyang Rayon Yam Factory was built and went into operation with due ceremony.
