SEOUL (Yonhap) -- The following is a chronological review of major developments related to North Korea from May 30-June 5, 2013.

30 Mongolian Ambassador Manibadrakh Ganbold and staff members of his embassy in Pyongyang participate in "friendship labor" at the DPRK (North Korea)-Mongolia Friendship Jongbang Co-op Farm in Sariwon City, North Hwanghae Province.

30 An event is held at the Taedong River Diplomatic Club in Pyongyang to mark the World No-Tobacco Day.

30 The delegation of the Democratic Women's Union of (North) Korea (DWUK) led by Chae Chun-hui, vice chairwoman of its Central Committee, flies back home after visiting Mexico.

30 A press conference takes place at Kim Il-sung Stadium with table tennis players Kim Hyok-bong and Kim Jong who won gold medals in mixed doubles at the 52nd ITTF World Championships (individual events).

30 North Korean leader Kim Jong-un provides field guidance to the Songdowon International Children's Camp in Wonsan, Kangwon Province.

31 The Pyongyang International Football School opens with due ceremony.

31 The Cabinet hosts a reception in honor of Kim Hyok-bong and Kim Jong, gold medalists at the 52nd ITTF World Championships (individual events), and their coach at Okryu Restaurant in Pyongyang.

31 Rodong Sinmun says that the high-handed and arbitrary practices of the U.S. imperialists and their moves for domination should never be allowed in the world.

1 Rodong Sinmun warns Japan not to commit more crimes against Koreans saying that the Japanese reactionaries seek to inflict financial burdens on Koreans residing in Japan in a bid to quench the spirit of national pride of Korean students.

1 Kim Yong-nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly (SPA), sends a message of greeting to Giorgio Napolitano, president of Italy, on the occasion of its national day.

1 A joint friendship meeting is held at the Mangyongdae Amusement Park in Pyongyang to mark the 63rd anniversary of International Children's Day.

2 Premier Pak Pong-ju makes a field survey of the second phase of construction of the Huichon Power Station (power station in tiers on the River Chongchon).

2 The (North) Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) says North Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh Ri Song-hyun presented his credentials to Bangladeshi President Abdul Hamid on May 28.

2 The KCNA says North Korean Ambassador to India Pak Kyong-son presented his credentials to Indian President Pranab Mukherjee on May 28.

3 Delegates of the (North) Korean Children's Union (KCU) from across the country arrive in Pyongyang to take part in the 7th Congress of the KCU.

4 Kim Jong-un provides field guidance to the Kosan Fruit Farm in Kangwon Province.

4 The KCNA says archaeologists of Kim Il-sung University in Pyongyang have recently discovered cultural relics dating back to the Paleolithic Age in a cave in Kumok-ri, Sungho County, North Hwanghae Province.

4 Minju Joson urges U.S. to withdraw troops from Okinawa, Japan, claiming that the U.S. forces are the chieftain of all the misfortune and sufferings in the Northeast Asian region including the Korean Peninsula.

4 The KCNA says in a commentary that talk about "internationalizing" the issue of the Kaeosng industrial zone is ridiculous.

4 School children camp at children's camps across the country to mark the 67th anniversary of the KCU.

4 Kim Jong-un sends an appeal "Let Us Create the 'Masikryong Speed' and Usher in New Heyday on All Fronts for Socialist Construction" to all service personnel and people of the DPRK.

5 The KCNA says Kim Yong-nam sent a message of greeting on June 1 to Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf on the occasion of his country's national day.

5 The KCNA says a decree on the law on economic development zones was promulgated by the SPA Presidium on May 29. The law has seven chapters (62 articles) and additional rules (two articles).

5 The delegates to the 7th Congress of the (North) Korean Children's Union (KCU) visit Mangyongdae, the birthplace of President Kim Il-sung.

5 The KCNA says Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Jang Yong-chol presented credentials to Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, sultan and head of that country, on May 25.
