Flooding to worsen N.K. food situation: Red Cross

SEOUL, Aug. 1 (Yonhap) -- Extensive flooding caused by torrential rains last month is expected to have a negative impact on North Korea's long-term food security situation, a report said Thursday.

According to the report by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), many parts of the country were hit by consecutive floods and landslides in mid-July.
