N. Korea flag at half-mast in Beijing ahead of anniversary of Kim Jong-il's death

BEIJING, Dec. 10 (Yonhap) -- The flag of North Korea flew at half-mast at the North Korean embassy in Beijing Tuesday, a week before the second anniversary of the death of leader Kim Jong-il, the father of current leader Kim Jong-un.

The North Korean flag, seen by Yonhap News Agency, was lowered to half-mast in Beijing as of Tuesday afternoon. Kim died on Dec. 17, 2011 and his third son and the current leader, Kim Jong-un, inherited the world's last communist dynasty.
