SEOUL, July 6 (Yonhap) -- North Korean leader Kim Jong-un inspected a children's camp accompanied by his younger sister, the North's state media said Sunday.
The Songdowon International Children's Camp in Wonsan, Gangwon Province, reopened in early May after undergoing remodeling. Kim and his sister, Yo-jong, inspected the facility with other officials, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said in a report, monitored in Seoul.
The younger Kim, who has received the media spotlight for her potential role in North Korean politics, was seen in public for the first time since she accompanied her brother to a concert on May 19.
The North Korean leader expressed "satisfaction" with the new facilities at the camp, which include a speed water slide, a mirror house and an aquarium, the KCNA said.
"I am very pleased to see it as it was made by our own efforts and with our own technique," the KCNA quoted Kim as saying as he looked at the water slide.
