Antibiotic used in animal feed decline in 2009: report
SEOUL, March 9 (Yonhap) -- The usage of antibiotics in animal feed declined sharply last year as the country moved to stem the use of various drugs that could cause health problems for consumers, the government said Tuesday.
The National Veterinary Research and Quarantine Service (NVRQS) said total use of antibiotics such as Tetracyclines and Neomycin reached to 998 tons, a drop of 18 percent from 1,211 tons tallied for 2008.
