S. Korea's magnetic communication tech accepted by ISO

  
SEOUL, March 10 (Yonhap) -- An international standards body has accepted a South Korean-made magnetic communications technology for consideration as a potential benchmark, a government agency here said Wednesday.

The Korean Agency for Technology and Standards said a committee of the Geneva-based International Organization for Standardization (ISO) agreed to accept the Magnetic Field Area Network (MFAN) as a formal review project. Of the 15 members on the ISO committee, 12 including Germany, China and Japan voted to support further research.
