S. Korea seeks to lower software piracy rate to OECD average level


SEOUL, March 11 (Yonhap) -- South Korea will redouble efforts to reduce illegal downloading and purchasing of pirated contents in the country and enhance copyright protection, the country's culture minister said Thursday.

"By 2012, the country's software piracy rate will be reduced to the level held by countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)," Culture, Sports and Tourism Minister Yu In-chon said in a lecture.
