(Universiade) S. Korea wins gold medal in men's team taekwondo
GWANGJU, July 13 (Yonhap) -- South Korea beat China to take the Universiade gold medal in the men's team taekwondo event on Monday.
South Korea had a narrow 9-8 victory in the team final in kyorugi, or sparring, in its traditional martial art at Chosun University Gymnasium in Gwangju.
South Korea ended the taekwondo competition with eight gold medals, five coming from poomsae, the demonstrative form of the martial art.
Earlier Monday, the women's team lost to Russia in the semifinals to settle for bronze.
